Personal Trainer Exeter – Heal Your Back And Burn The Fat – Day 26 – How Crocodile Dundee (remember him) Can Help You Have No Worries!

Day 26 is all about how Crocodile Dundee can help you keep calm and relaxed….

The routine as follows:

AM – Focused Breathing Drills

MID – Energiser Level 1 Program

PM – Focused Breathing Drills

G’day and welcome to day 10,

The cheesy reference to Crocodile Dundee is the subject of how to eliminate worry!

Crocodile_Dundee_(7158357115)

Worry is the biggest enemy of creativity, success, joy, love, truth, pretty much anything really! Worry is like mental cancer, it will literally grow that big and crush you.

Anxiety, stress, doubt are all forms in a different dress so we need this thing GONE!

Worry serves one purpose and one purpose only to pull you down into more worry; watch a conversation between two worriers it’s like watching Victim Tennis with worry being rallied over the net and then pretty soon they are in an episode of east enders…. SCREW THAT!!!!

Now I don’t say don’t be concerned, if you know something is coming (or if it just pops up) up then simply acknowledge it, plan or decide what your response will be and then do it and let go of the thought, yes it is that SIMPLE!!!

So for today I want to take an Australian approach to worry “no worries mate” should be your best friend. Anytime a worry pops into your head literally shrug your shoulders and say “no worries mate”, decide a response and then go do and let it go…..

Here is the ultimate example from Crocodile Dundee on No Worries: www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLS3RGesIFQ

Ok, so please don’t carry a machete around just give it a go, oh and give yourself permission to suck the first time it goes badly, you will only improve!!!

Personal Trainer Exeter – Heal Your Back And Burn The Fat – Day 24 – How Does A No Media Diet Sound?

Hey guys,

Ok day 24 is a simple to do but not always easy to implement day.

The routine is as fiollows:

AM – Focused Breathing Drills

MID – No Media Diet

PM = Focused Breathing Drills

Is is simple in the fact that you need to get rid of any unnecessary social / media for 7 days, yep one whole week without reading a newspaper, looking at unnecessary blog posts, status updates, tweets, pins and any other social bollocks!!!!

ID-10086977

By unnecessary I have 3 simple questions you should ask yourself:

  1. Does this take my life forward (if no then stop)?
  2. How does this take my life forward (if you can’t come up with a decent answer the clearly it isn’t that good).
  3. What other way could I do this (if it’s talking to friends can the same be one on phone, Skype or messenger)?

Seriously, how much time do you use reading posts that make you laugh for 5 secs (I have done this myself) and then nothing comes of it. Look if a post makes you that happy and you take a new positive direction (thought or action) based on it then great; if not then why are you doing it?

So there you have it….

Let me know how you get on and also please reply back with your progress (how are you feeling, how was the 48hrs and how’s 7 days of no bitchin?

Personal Trainer Exeter – How do you decide what to eat?

Hey guys,

Excuse the interruption to the “Heal Your Back And Burn The Fat” 30 day coaching program, normal service will resume on the PT in Exeter blog soon.

I had some inspiration for this post at breakfast this morning from my 4yo son and had to get it out asap.

When we came  out to sort breakfast he saw the minted lamb kebabs I had got out for tonight’s dinner, straight out of his mouth without hesitation was “I like this one please”….

WP_000919

The initial shock wore off and i was like, you want kebabs for break fast??

“YEP!”

Err but it’s breakfast Theo…?

”YEP!”

This is the bit where I stopped myself, so what if it’s breakfast, who or what decides that breakfast MUST be a bowl of cereal with milk or a traditional fry up?

In France a traditional breakfast is a hot drink with crusty bread and pastries.

Hollandd is scrambled eggs with frankfurters.

Japan is miso soup with rice…

You see, where ever you go no one breakfast is the same, there is no one universal truth!!!

So the question is “How do you decide what to eat?”

You see most people would be looking at this and scratching their head and then answer something along the lines of “I just do” or “It’s what we’ve always done”.

You see those answers right there, they are simply running a program, they are using part of the brain called the Basal Ganglia and The Anterior Cingular Cortex that are responsible for emotional regulation and habit formation.

They are running what they have programmed to do, because their parents / friends / everyone did before them and so history repeats itself….

So what would happen if instead you asked the following:

what would the best version of me want for breakfast?

What food would give me the best nourishment and set me up for what ever i need to do today?

What food would be the best expression of who I want to be right now?

What choices would allow me to feel happiest and give me the most freedom?

Do you think your breakfast choices would be different????

You bet!!!!

So task for you, next time you eat or a re deciding what to eat / cook, take a deep breath and ask yourself the questions above and post your answers below!

Normal service will be resumed to the Personal Trainer Exeter blog tomorrow.

Personal Trainer Exeter–Heal Your Back And Burn The Fat – Day 21 – BLC#3 – Pay Attention To Who You Are?

The routine is as follows:

AM -Focused Breathing Drills

MID – BLC#3 – Identity Statement

PM – Focused Breathing Drills

So on with the exercise:

Create an identity statement – I am …. Think about the times in your past where you have use the statements I am…. Now go through and look at ones that you have list as many as possible…

ID-10043387

Now break them up by asking how does this serve?

If it serves your purpose, keep it and thank it.

If not then ask where does this come from, why have I got it, what would be a better thing to think instead?

Keep repeating until you have replaced all you non serving statements….
